BEGA's surface ceiling cylindrical downlights provide the perfect lighting solution for the newly constructed Adams Center for the Visual Arts at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA. The building's long, narrow three-level form extends from west to east creating a design that provides the classrooms, studios and offices with both natural ventilation and lighting.
Two pavilions sit on the landscaped roof of the main level, with BEGA downlights providing illumination as daylight fades. The east pavilion is home to the gallery and the west pavilion includes the printmaking and painting studios. All studio spaces have both indoor and outdoor work areas, which makes the appropriate night lighting all the more important.
